Session description

This session is for horses that have never used the treadmill at Aqua Equine. It is recommended for this first session that you bring an extra pair of hands with you should your horse require extra support.

We will ask you to fill out an onboarding form on arrival that covers both yours and your horses details alongside any ongoing conditions and or medical issues (for the horse!)

The first session is all about familiarisation. We will ask you yo walk your horse through the machine stopping on the treadmill for some treats a few times. Once they are comfortable with this we will start them off walking on the treadmill. Again once they are comfortable we will then slowly introduce the water to max hoof height at the first session.

The duration on the treadmill intro session is 12 mins.

Subsequent sessions will build up the duration to a max time of 25 mins, increase of water depth and incline gradient (where applicable)

It is recommended that your horse wears a bridle for the first few sessions.

Before you arrive ‼️

Please arrive at least 10 mins early to your session to allow you enough time to unload, remove rugs and boots to be ready for your slot.
Our slots run every 30 mins – if you are delayed your session time may be reduced accordingly so as to not impact the next client.

Please ensure your horses legs are clean – we take pride in our water’s cleanliness so any horse arriving with dirty legs will need them washing before they enter which could eat into your session time.
Please make sure your horses feet have been picked out.
Please wrap your horses tail – we recommend plaiting the bottom section of the tail then wrapping that up to the top section (see below)

Cancellations 🚫

We understand that things can go wrong last minute – especially when horses are involved – if something does go a miss last minute pls talk to us to see how we can best help.

In general, sessions can be rescheduled up to 48 hours in advance.
All sessions require pre payment to confirm your booking.
Cancellations with less than 24hrs notice will be charged the full session price.
